This weeks theme for the Blog Wars is Primary Colours. Red, Blue & Yellow.

I created with a friend of mine (Hi Kim) on Wednesday morning, within 2 hours I created the 3 12 x 12 pages below. I would never put these colours together, unless I was doing a kids birthday card , but I really like the way these layouts came out. What do you think?

Well it seems I confused a few Consultants with my choice of Ellegance Vellum this week, sorry girls!! It confused me too. I knew it must have been somewhere, as I have labelled my vellum storage folder pages with Elegance Vellum. I found it today!! in a past issue of the Kaszazz Catalogue (the brown one) on page 32 is Scrapbooking – Ellegance. It includes 4635 Gold Hearts, 4636 Gold Roses, 4637 Gold Script, 4638 Silver Hearts, 4639 Silver Roses & 4640 Silver Script Vellum. These are available to view in the Current Kaszazz Catalogue on pages 40 & 41.

These vellums are perfect for creating romantic & sentimental scrapbooking pages & are full of charm, grace & charisma!

The card I created above with 4447 Gold Bazzill Basics & 4637 Gold Script Vellum. I embossed the heart stamp with 10029 Gold Sparkle Embossing powder. The photo looks like copper as I took it with the flash off, the one before with the flash on just reflected everwhere. The card looks much nicer in real life.

Well the kids are home for the school holidays & my whole routine is out of whack!! I haven’t had a chance to get to my blog, sorry about that! Mick & I have also been busy re-sealing the slate in our house, the smell of the sealer is quite strong so we slept in the shed for a couple of nights. It’s all done now & looks lovely!!

We also went in the Bay to Birdwood Run with my AP6 Valiant last weekend. I have had this car since I was 16. We have always wanted to participate in the Bay to Birdwood & this year we finally did it! We had a lovely day together, the kids didn’t want to come, so it was just the two of us. Over 1700 vehicles participated.

I have managed to create of few things over the school holidays. Today I created 5 cards using gold hearts vellum & leaf nouveau design adhesive with gold glitter. This would be great idea for a 5PQ. Ellegance vellum is the Blog War product this week.

 This layout below I created using one of the templates from the A 2 Z Scrapbooking Kit. This is the “Letter B” template, I have just used different cardstock. I found I have used the templates from the A 2 Z kit many times over using different cardstock to achieve many different looks. Although the images below look like new Rollagraph designs, they are actually the New Design Adhesive designs. These were released in July.

I haven’t got any of these great new Design Adhesives yet, but I have ordered some. Just waiting for my next delivery. Then I can get creating!!! I will just have to tell you about them for now & post my creations at a later date. Pop back & check them out. I have been inspired by some other Consultants with what I have seen them create with them already.

What a week!!! I created the invitation below on Monday & the days have just got away from me.

The kids have gone on camp this week, one left on Monday, back on Wednesday & the other left Wednesday & back today. I think they would have really enjoyed the week apart from each other. I’ve had painters in the house painting all the main living areas Monday – Wednesday. So you know how it is, furniture everywhere!!! All finished now though, looking beautiful. It’s so nice to have a colour change & freshen the house. LOVE IT!! I have been creating but not all of it has been for the Blog War, so I do apologise for the lack of Blog War creations this week!!

I just love Distress Inks & I am slowly building my colour collection. Kaszazz sell 24 colours. Bright colour options are perfect for the new vintage, stained aged effects in altered books, scrapbook pages, cards & paper projects!

Distress Inks are acid free, non-toxic, fade resistant, water based dye inks & have been specially formulated to give an aged, weathered look to papers, photos & more!

To create this layout I used one piece of each Flirty Bazzill Bling & Essentials White. I stamped “Long Stemmed Daisies” across the bottom of the white with Perfect Medium & embossed it with clear embossing powder. With “Dusty Concord” Distress Ink I distressed over the daisies using a blending tool until I was happy with the shading of the resist technique. Tore across the page over the top of the daisies then adhered it to the base page. I stamped the daisies with the dusty concord onto white & then punched out 5 butterflies & distressed their edges. I stamped all other images on the page in dusty concord. Punched around the white matting for the photo & finished with a little icestickles on the base Flirty Bazzill Bling. 

With this layout I tore a scrap piece of paper to create a mask. I literally then grabbed my Aged Mahogany Distress Ink Pad & smeared it from the piece of paper (which I had positioned) over the edge of a piece of ivory 12 x 12 to create the border for this layout. So easy!!! Weathered Wood Distress Ink is the other colour I used on this page. The red matting for the photo is pomegranate from the latest SB Essentials range.

This picture is of Becky & myself while we were away at Coobowie last weekend by the jetty at Wool Bay.

The layout below I created using the following products: Jetstream & Limeade Bazzill Basics, Essentials white, Faded Jeans Distress Ink, Stamps – Swirl Frames, Chalk Small Bubble, Soccer & Carnival Alphabet.

Again…. I created the border around the layout by just grabbing my Faded Jeans Distress Ink Pad (down the right hand side) dragging it off the edge of the page & around the page stamping the ink pad over the edge of the layout. This weeks Blog War product is Fluid Chalk. Fluid Chalk is one of my favourite products, there are just so many beautiful soft colours to suit any of your craft projects to choose from. The card above is a “Wedding RSVP” I created. Friends of ours are getting married bare footed on the beach in December. Our shell border, shell & wave stamp were perfect for this card.

This card is a great way to use up some more paper scraps. It can be created in any colours & I found it very theraputic tearing the paper. I started with a piece of double sided sticky paper which I trimmed to size. After tearing strips of coloured scrap paper, I removed one side of the double sided sticky paper sticking each piece down one at a time. Once trimmed, I removed the other side of the sticky paper & adhered the piece to Bahama Bazzill. I stamped the plane on a piece of ivory cardstock, with Prussian Blue Fluid Chalk. Happy Birthday is also on ivory cardstock stamped with Ancient Page Coal Black. I used Chestnut as the base card & hung the edge of the Bahama over the Chestnut card.
